HISTORY

The company was founded by Mr. Euripides Scazikis and Mr. Lakis Marangos. The company’s main activity was the exclusive representation, import and distribution in Northern Greece of products from the groups FAG KUGELFISCHER (bearings), FREUDENBERG (oil seals) and British Timken (bearings)

Official celebration of the 25 years of cooperation with the FAG Group in Thessaloniki with the participation of Mr. and Mrs. Georg Schaeffler, owners of the FAG group.

Expansion of the company’s activities to Southern Greece through the development of a new organizational structure in Athens. Managing Director of Athens became Mr. Konstantinos Marangos, (Mechanical Engineer, T.H DARMSTADT and MBA INSEAD).

Transfer of the headquarters to the new owned facilities, offices and warehouses in the Industrial Area of Thessaloniki, in Sindos.

SKAMA became the Greek member of ATR International AG. ATR is one of the major and most successful trade cooperation in Europe. Members of the ATR International AG are 71 trading firms, headquartered in 48 countries, who are active worldwide in the automotive spare parts sector

Award of the Highest Honorary Distinction “DAS VERDIENSTKREUZ 1. KLASSE” of the Federal German Republic to Mr. Lakis Marangos from the President of the country.

‘Transfer of SKAMA in Athens to the new modern facilities with offices, seminar rooms and central warehouses, offering improved servicesto Southern Greece.

‘SKAMA completes its 50 years of successful history since its founding, as well as 50 years of alliance with the German groups Schaeffler Group (FAG Bearings) and Freundenberg (SIMRIT Oil Seals).

Furhter expansion of SKAMA’s car parts distribution network with an new Branche in Attica, in Chalandri at 311 Mesogeion Avenue.
