FAG Detector III - the cost effective solution for all preventive maintenance. Watch a video introducting the use of the device, taking measurements and their evaluation.
Rolling bearings are precision machine elements found in a wide variety of applications. They are typically very reliable even under the toughest conditions. Under normal operating conditions, bearings have a substantial “service life” which is expressed as either a period of time or as the total
number of rotations before the rolling elements or inner and outer ring fatigue or fail. Less than one percent of rolling bearings do not reach
their expected life.
There are many different reasons for unplanned stoppage of machinery. However, a not inconsiderable percentage can be attributed, directly or indirectly, to imbalance or misalignment. During operation, imbalance can
generate considerable vibrations that lead to secondary damage such as premature bearing wear or fatigue fractures. This results in machine failure and thus unplanned production shutdowns.

FAG Smart Check takes intelligent machine monitoring to a new level: compact, easy to operate and at a unique price/performance ratio. Thus, makes the online monitoring of small, non process critical systems like electric motors, pumps, compressors, ventilators, fans and gearboxes cost-efficient.
Schaeffler is your powerful partner for sustainable solutions concerning maintenance and quality control - from the selection of the optimal tools to machine monitoring to the maintenance services such as  mounting or reconditioning of rolling bearings. In co-operation with the system manufacturer or operator we develop individually tailored concepts independent of manufacturers.

Schaeffler has supplied a complete package consisting of sliding sleeve housings and spherical roller bearings. Now floating bearing displacement no longer takes place between housing and sliding plate but between sliding sleeve and housing bore. Lubricant is constantly fed between sliding sleeve and housing bore, ensuring a low coefficient of friction when thermal expansions take place inside the tube mill.

Schaeffler has developed an innovative bearing concept for preventing slippage that was installed in the end customer’s machine by a team comprising experts from both Schaeffler and Voith Paper. The antislippage spherical rolling bearing consists primarily of the rings of a standard spherical roller bearing. In each of the two rows of rolling elements, each barrel roller alternates with a ball. In the low-load phase, the balls ensure slippage-free operation. In the high-load phase, the barrel rollers take up the loads. The dimensions as well as the elastic deformation of the balls and rollers are matched to the application.
